• Access to the centre is strictly reserved for applicants. However, applicants with reduced mobility may be accompanied.
• Applicants under the age of 12 are not required to attend their appointment, as they are exempt from biometric data collection.

Security checks:

• A visual inspection of personal belongings, clothing, and devices may be carried out before entry or inside the premises.
• Any disruptive behavior may result in restrictive measures against the applicant concerned.

Prohibited items:

• ❌ Large bags: Suitcases and travel bags are prohibited (no locker service available). Only small handbags are allowed after inspection.
• ❌ Dangerous items: Weapons (real or imitation), sharp tools, defense sprays, lighters.
• ❌ Prohibited substances: Flammable liquids, chemicals, narcotics.
• ❌ Electronic devices: The use of phones, tablets, and computers may be restricted in certain areas.

The security team reserves the right to deny access to anyone who does not comply with these instructions.

Visa applicants are required to appear in person to submit their application at the CAPAGO center. Minors must be accompanied by their legal guardian or by an authorised representative with a duly completed authorisation form.

Exemption from Biometric Data Collection

• Biometric visa: All visas issued by France are biometric. However, if you hold a biometric Schengen visa issued less than 59 months ago, your previous biometric data may be reused, exempting you from submitting it again.
• Minors under 12 years old: Exempt from biometric data collection.

Access to the center is permitted up to 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to ensure a smooth and efficient check-in process.

A grace period of up to 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time may be granted only to:

• Elderly applicants
• Pregnant women
• Persons with reduced mobility

Fees

Visa application fees consist of:

• A visa fee related to the processing of your application. The amount paid is kept by the French Consulate, even in the event of a visa refusal. For more details, please check the visa fee table by visa type (pdf) .
• A service fee of 28 euros is mandatory for all visa applications.

Prepayment

Prepayment is a mandatory step after choosing an appointment slot. It must be completed within 72 hours to confirm the booking.

If payment is not made within this period, the slot is automatically cancelled and released for booking to other applicants.

Payment methods

Prepayment of the service fees can only be made on our secure online payment platform.

Administrative fees (visa fees) and any additional services you may use will be collected on the day of your appointment at our visa center. We accept payments by bank card. An official receipt will be issued immediately for all payments made at the visa application center.
